About Me

I am a 'contented to stay at home' Mummy in a small town in the middle of Warwickshire in England. We are a short drive away from Stratford, Leamington and Warwick and have won Britain in Bloom several times and have here one of the most super famous schools in the Country!

I get through most days in a haphazard sort of way, repairing my eardrums after the squealing of twin girls, home educating them, missing my eldest 'now at Uni' fabby handsome son and making the most of next son-loving every minute of his Tapping, Performing and general Dancing career. I am a carer for a marvellous housebound Grandma too, all with the help of an exceptionally wonderful husband.

I have always been a fidget and loved fiddling with things and was always being told to stop as a small child. Now crafting is my sanity and I love to 'fiddle' ( thank you Mummy) with stamps, punches, icing nozzles, sewing needles, buttons, felts, hems, crystals, ribbon and tulle.

Thanks to my wonderful Grandma I have inherited a passion for Vintage - 1930's to 1940's mostly and can be found trawling other lovely Vintage blogs. She taught me to play the Violin and Piano, bake a very successful sandwich cake but most importantly how to laugh. She's 89 and still has a fine sense of humour and is a veritable mine of information on important things such as a perfect set of waves, hairstyles, Vintage clothing, how to make meals out of very little and how she kept her seams straight.

At home I usually have a million half finished projects on the craft table whilst I hare around with one or two small people hanging off either leg, either that or dancing around the dining room to some very lovely Big Band or Swing.
I am currently collecting more Vintage treasures than I am sure are good for any person and decorating my kitchen and dining/craft room with lots of super finds.
I hope to have a Vintage Website up and running soon and also hope to have a shop full of Vintage inspired goodies too.
